BOSSMAN HERO is an enemy exclusive to the console versions of OMORI. He is a delusional, capitalist-driven HERO that is automatically fought within the LAST RESORT after receiving the GIANT CHECK from MR. JAWSUM on ONE DAY LEFT of the OMORI ROUTE.
PROFILE
APPEARANCE
As the new owner of the LAST RESORT, BOSSMAN HERO shares the same appearance as HERO, having the same spiky hair and charming features he possesses as usual. However, he now wears a blue-and-white striped suit, a red tie, and brown shoes to signify his role as the casino's new owner.
In addition, BOSSMAN HERO is often shown with a completely unstable expression due to letting the power as the new owner get to his head. His battle sprite also depicts him laughing in a mocking manner while standing on a table with his legs bent and arms outstretched.
PERSONALITY
Power-obsessed and delusional, BOSSMAN HERO serves as the complete opposite of HERO's actual character. He is shown to be rather maniacal and enthusiastic when it comes offering deals to the group when battling them. BOSSMAN HERO also lacks the charming, kind-hearted demeanor he once had before, an example being his endless attempts to force his friends to work for him forever.
In fact, he notably shares some of MR. JAWSUM's characteristics, such as his tendency to force others into working for him for free, his unfair treatment of the GATOR GUYS, and the loud-bearing laughter he emits on occasions. The only major difference is that whereas JAWSUM still retains most of his sanity, BOSSMAN HERO appears as a complete lunatic who is consumed with too much power. However, when being defeated by his friends, HERO manages to snap out of his delusional state, returning back to his warm-hearted self afterwards.
STORY
After MR. JAWSUM decides to hand ownership of the LAST RESORT to HERO along with giving the group a GIANT CHECK, the former decides to go on a long vacation. Despite his hesistance to accept this role, HERO ends up becoming the new owner of the casino. The group praises HERO for becoming the new owner and urges him to try out his suit and tie.
To experiment with his abilities as the new owner of the casino, HERO snaps his fingers to summon GATOR GUYS at his side. However, as HERO snaps a few more times, KEL and AUBREY both notice something off with their friend. Upon being questioned if he is okay, HERO loudly exclaims that bosses don't feel anything with an expression not like himself.
Now named BOSSMAN HERO, he has gone completely mad with power as noted by KEL himself. BOSSMAN HERO's power-mad persona ends up causing him to erratically demand the group if they would like to work for him for free, along with scaring away most of his GATOR GUY minions. The player is then given a prompt on if they would like to fight BOSSMAN HERO. Regardless of the choice selected, BOSSMAN HERO will be fought either way, particularly right after he ends up provoking KEL and AUBREY to stop him.
After the group defeats him, HERO reverts back to his old self, mostly thanks to AUBREY repeatedly whacking him with her bat. Upset with his previous actions, the others storm out of the casino one-by-one with the last one being KEL, who questions HERO if he is happy with himself. HERO then follows after his friends, confused and apologetic as he does not seem to remember his actions as the power-mad BOSSMAN HERO.

A few skills, unless stated otherwise, have a 20% variance rate. This means they will do between 80% and 120% of their regular damage.
*Only these skills will be used when being OBSERVED .
**Throughout the battle, BOSSMAN HERO will repeatedly offer various contracts that have varying effects that range between buffs and debuffs. These skills are randomized depending on an in-game variable that determines the offered deals, using a randomized number between 0-8. There is also a 25% chance for a GATOR GUY to take these buffs instead if OMORI declines a contract offered to his group. This in turn could lead to the enemies unintentionally damaging themselves or BOSSMAN HERO attempting to buy items he cannot use himself.
Note that not all combinations of offer are available:
- Conflicting offers will not be combined.
- If and only if the contract offers an EMOTION to the friends, the advantageous EMOTION to the friends' one will be offered to the foes.
- If the contract offers buff stats to the friends, healing will not be offered to the foes.
- If the contract offers debuff stats to the foes, 100% crit will not be offered to the foes.
- If the contract offers 100% crit to the friends, damage and debuff stats will not be offered to the friends.

Every turn, each enemy will start by trying to use the skill listed at the top. If the calculation fails, they move on to the second skill and so on, until reaching the final skill which is guaranteed to activate. Each calculation is done independently from the previous ones, so the added percentage is not 100%.
STRATEGY
OVERVIEW
Due to HERO leaving the party once he becomes BOSSMAN HERO in the pre-battle cutscene, OMORI and his friends must stock up on enough ITEMS to heal their HEART and JUICE for this challenging boss character. BOSSMAN HERO, like MR. JAWSUM, is aided by two backup GATOR GUYS. Though, players do not need to defeat the GATOR GUYS first to defeat BOSSMAN HERO. In fact, BOSSMAN HERO will not call in more GATOR GUYS to help him out once they're taken out. Despite this, when attacking the group, these GATOR GUYS deal massive amounts of damage alongside their new bossman. All three enemies will perform simple attacks that will catch the group off guard if they are not well prepared.
Between turns, BOSSMAN HERO will offer the party a deal to "keep things interesting". These deals in general will have a randomized positive and negative effect, depending on the one offered. Players have the option to either accept or decline BOSSMAN HERO's offers; however, if the contract is declined, there is a 25% chance one of the GATOR GUYS will accept the deal instead. This will allow the enemy troop to gain the effects of BOSSMAN HERO's randomized deals. These deals can either create an advantage or disadvantage for the group, so the party must be well healed when using their ITEMS to keep the fight going.

- There exists a draft placeholder image for BOSSMAN HERO in the "Enemies" folder of the console version's files. This is the same with the other console-exclusive bosses.
- In the game's data, BOSSMAN HERO is referred to as BUSINESS HERO or boss hero.
- BOSSMAN HERO's overall attire is similar to that of MR. JAWSUM. They both possess similar demeanors, along with sharing the same battle theme and background.
- When HERO returns to the party after his defeat as BOSSMAN HERO, he is revealed to have 1 HEART and 0 JUICE when checking his stats in the overworld.
- If the party has no CLAMS, BOSSMAN HERO will not offer the LOSE ALL CLAMS debuff.
- The two contracts where BOSSMAN HERO offers the group 100,000 CLAMS and 10 WHOLE PIZZAS aren't listed as skills in the game's data. Instead, both are listed in the enemy's troop stats and do not have any flavor text either.
- Despite sharing similar battle mechanics, BOSSMAN HERO's fight has a few differences when compared to MR. JAWSUM's boss fight:
- To damage MR. JAWSUM, the group must take down the two GATOR GUYS protecting him. BOSSMAN HERO, on the other hand, can be damaged even if a GATOR GUY is still active.
- While MR. JAWSUM has the ability to call another GATOR GUY if one of them is down in battle, BOSSMAN HERO does not do this despite demonstrating the same skill in his introduction cutscene.
- BOSSMAN HERO's immunity to any EMOTION state is similar to that of SPACE EX-HUSBAND from SNOWGLOBE MOUNTAIN, if one does not consider the latter's EMOTION mechanic.
- HERO, AUBREY, and CAPT. SPACEBOY are the only characters with two variants of their boss fights, with HERO's other variant being a simulation of himself from the BOSS RUSH.
- In the post-battle cutscene, HERO's defeat/unconscious sprite in the overworld resembles a flipped version of his sprite when climbing up a ladder in HEADSPACE.
- Initially, the two GATOR GUYS that aid BOSSMAN HERO were both meant to take the contracts offered if OMORI's party refuses them. However, this becomes unused as only one of them can do the action.
