CRIS'S HOUSE is one of the many areas within FARAWAY TOWN in OMORI. It is where CRIS and her parents primarily reside throughout the game.
GEOGRAPHY[]
CRIS'S HOUSE is the third house shown within SUNNY'S STREET, located between KEL and THE MAVERICK's houses. It is recognizable by its blue color palette. Next to the door is a wooden bird house, while three pink plastic flamingos are located at the corners of the yard. Three trash bins are placed in a row to the west of the front window. Unlike most of the houses within FARAWAY TOWN, the interior is always accessible if any resident is inside the house.
Inside is calm and plain, with blue walls, gray floors, and a few pieces of personalized decoration or furniture. Some of the furniture in the house implies that the family may be somewhat wealthy - expensive tea sets and vases, and many other objects described by SUNNY as "fancy." The bookshelves are full of books and magazines with content being unknown. Exploration of CRIS's house is necessary if the player wants to complete a part of the "Universally Loved" achievement.
STORY[]
THREE DAYS LEFT[]
CRIS'S HOUSE is accessible from the morning of THREE DAYS LEFT. ALL-AMERICAN GUY is sitting on the couch in the living room, being troubled for his lost TV REMOTE, which is under the couch. If SUNNY and KEL successfully find the TV REMOTE and return it to ALL-AMERICAN GUY, he will reward the party with a can of ORANGE JOE.
Inside the kitchen is the wife of ALL-AMERICAN GUY, ALL-AMERICAN MOM. She will be surprised by how tall KEL has become and accidently burns her PIE due to her inattention. Through being "a little burnt", she promises the PIE is still delicious and generously suggest the party taking it.
CRIS can be found in her room. After being acquainted with SUNNY under the help of KEL, she gives some tips to handle moving away based on her own experience. CRIS then decides to ask them to bring her any SEASHELLS that they find. Delivering three SEASHELLS to her allows her to complete the SEASHELL NECKLACE, one of the two CHARMS that affect stats in the REAL WORLD. She later wishes SUNNY good luck on moving to a new location later on.
TWO DAYS LEFT[]
The party can access CRIS'S HOUSE once ALL-AMERICAN GUY and CRIS return from FARAWAY PARK in the evening. ALL-AMERICAN GUY is still seen sitting on the couch. If the party has helped him during the last day, he will tell them the TV REMOTE disappeared after he came back from the bathroom. The TV REMOTE can be found inside the bathroom, implying ALL-AMERICAN GUY unconsciously took the TV REMOTE with him when he went to the bathroom.
ONE DAY LEFT[]
ALL-AMERICAN GUY lost the TV REMOTE once again. He will recall falling asleep before the remote disappeared if the party has helped him on each day before. An unknown set of circumstances has led to the remote being baked in one of his wife's pies in the kitchen, where ALL-AMERICAN MOM is wondering why her last pie smells a little strange. Finding ALL-AMERICAN GUY's remote all three days is contributed to the Universally Loved achievement.
NOTABLE AREAS[]
LIVING ROOM[]
The LIVING ROOM is accessed from the front door like every other house in FARAWAY TOWN. In the center of the room are a couch with a matching table, in front of a television which is near the fireplace. A small sofa and two bookshelves with books and magazines are placed to the right of the television, under a window on the northeastern corner.
To the right of the room is a work desk with a office chair. Various potted plants are placed at the corners of the room, one notable is an ornate plant described as "adds a nice touch of color" by SUNNY. Next to the bamboo plant are two identitical identical shoe racks.
DINING ROOM[]
The DINING ROOM contains a large dining table with four chairs beside it. Just like the LIVING ROOM, there are houseplants placed in the corners, including a plant hanging from the ceiling in the top-left. The only corner without a plant has a bookshelf and floor lamp instead.
The KITCHEN can be accessed from the door at the top of the room. Next to the door is an armchair and small table, and above the door are several framed photos.
KITCHEN[]
The KITCHEN has blue checkered flooring, and is furnished as a standard kitchen. A counter against the back wall contains a sink, stove, and microwave, as well as other kitchen tools. A refrigerator sits in the left corner. Above the sink is a window and hanging plant; to the left of the window, a certificate of some sort is hung up.
There is also an island countertop in the middle of the room, with three stools next to it. The countertop has ornate lace placemats and a plant on top of it.
The room connects to the DINING ROOM through the lower exit and the LIVING ROOM through the right exit. Above the exit to the living room, there is a shelf with potted white flowers.
STAIRCASE[]
The STAIRCASE area is accessed from the top exit of the living room. It has a large wooden staircase connecting the upstairs and downstairs area. The downstairs area of this room is lined with bookshelves, photos, and other furnishings; some of the photos on the right were taken throughout CRIS's childhood, revealing she dyed her hair blue at some point. Large vents are placed on the wall either side of the staircase.
The upstairs area has three doors, leading (from left to right) to the PARENTS' ROOM, the BATHROOM, and CRIS'S BEDROOM. Each door has a photo hanging above it, though the door to CRIS'S BEDROOM has seashells strung up as additional decoration beside it. The large wall space between the doors is filled with bookshelves, lamps, a grandfather clock, and small wooden tables, one of which has a blue SEASHELL atop it.
A window sits in the middle of the upstairs wall, underneath a few hanging plants. There are more plants on shelves and in corners throughout the room.
PARENTS' ROOM[]
The far left door in the STAIRCASE area leads to the PARENTS' ROOM. The room has the same flooring and wall color as the rest of the house. There is a large double bed for CRIS's parents on the left side of the room; opposite the bed is a table with a television on it, and a few beer cans on the floor nearby.
The rest of the room is furnished similarly to other rooms in the house. The one notable exception is the boombox sitting against the top wall, underneath a window. Turning on the boombox plays the song CRAM IT, WAD! and then results in a textbox reading "Well, that was unexpected."
BATHROOM[]
The middle door in the STAIRCASE area leads to the BATHROOM. The BATHROOM is fairly standard, with a toilet, a bathtub (and framed photo above it), and a shelf, plus a counter with two sinks and a large mirror. Plants and strings of seashells hang from the ceiling. There is a laundry basket by the door and beer cans lying in the bottom left corner of the room next to a small table.
Sitting on the table in the corner, there is is a custom-made wearable mermaid tail which presumably belongs to CRIS.
CRIS'S BEDROOM[]
The far right door in the STAIRCASE area leads to CRIS'S BEDROOM. Unlike the rest of the house, CRIS's room has a light blue, wooden-looking wall pattern and a sand-colored floor. The room is well decorated, mostly with ocean-themed objects: seashells and a lifeguard ring hanging near the ceiling, a framed photo of the beach, a fishbowl on the table, and a singing fish above CRIS's bed on the left. Some of the furniture is also colored seafoam green.
The right side of the room contains a desk, a wardrobe, and a large table against the wall. A blue SEASHELL sits on the table (the same as the one in the STAIRCASE room). The rest of the room is filled by a light blue rug on the floor and a plant in the bottom-left corner.
