HANGOUT SPOT is a location in OMORI. This is where SUNNY and friends used to hang out near FARAWAY PARK before MARI's death.
GEOGRAPHY
HANGOUT SPOT is an area with a lake that is close to FARAWAY PARK. It consists of a grassy clearing, with surrounding trees. There is a lake with a small pier, and a small island with a statue. There is some trash scattered around, and there is a bench on the far end of the lake.
STORY
BACKGROUND
When they were younger, MARI, KEL, AUBREY, SUNNY, HERO, and BASIL used to hang out at this park. However, when trying to dive off the tall statue, a spider startled SUNNY and caused him to fall into the lake and nearly drown. MARI saved SUNNY, and this incident led her to stop bringing the group here. After MARI's death, AUBREY would bring her new group of friends at the HANGOUT SPOT, claiming the area as their territory and going there sometimes when wanting to remember the good old days of her past.
TWO DAYS LEFT
BASIL went here for unknown reasons, but THE HOOLIGANS soon arrived. They tried to kick BASIL out, but the commotion caused SUNNY and KEL to arrive. They fight with the HOOLIGANS, and the HOOLIGANS leave shortly after the fight, regardless of the result, due to boredom. AUBREY has an emotional breakdown and accidentally pushes BASIL into the lake. SUNNY dives into the lake to save him, but struggles, as he is confronted by SOMETHING IN THE WATER. Both are saved by the arrival of HERO. SUNNY, KEL, and HERO take BASIL home, leaving AUBREY there alone.
ONE DAY LEFT
If the player has met the requirements for RECYCULTIST'S HQ, a large tower of trash containers will appear there. SUNNY, KEL, AUBREY, and HERO can explore this area and defeat the RECYCLEPATH and his followers. Whether the group defeats the RECYCLEPATH, the outcome will reveal the entire sequence to be a dream daydreamed by SUNNY upon waking up on the floor.
The group can also revisit the place in the evening, leading to a cutscene where they briefly recall the reason they all stopped coming here. It is revealed that this was due to SUNNY nearly drowning, but he was saved by MARI. HERO then tells SUNNY that MARI really loved him. If interacting with the blue picnic basket, this will lead to a cutscene where KEL and AUBREY discuss that despite their constant fights, they still remain good friends.

TRIVIA
- There are six pinwheels having a color corresponding to each one of the main characters, located on the top right of the area. All of them were shown to be in close proximity from the memory in MEMORY LANE.
- However, in the present, the green and purple pinwheels are separated from the other four pinwheels. This alludes to BASIL being somewhat withdrawn from his friends and MARI's status as deceased.
- The memory where SUNNY nearly drowns is briefly mentioned in LOST LIBRARY.
- Only exclusive to ONE DAY LEFT, the player can encounter visions of certain characters. Interacting with them will cause them to disappear. These visions include:
- Morning: A younger SUNNY and BASIL standing near the pier. This vision will not appear if the requirement for RECYCULTIST'S HQ has been met, even after defeating RECYCLEPATH.
- Evening: Younger versions of the friend group having a picnic together.
- Dialogue of SUNNY remembering his feeling when he fell into the water will be displayed when standing at the edge of the pier at night.
