A simulated version of KEL is an enemy exclusive to the console versions of OMORI. He is fought alongside AUBREY and HERO as the penultimate opponents of the special BOSS RUSH event that can be done with BASIL on ONE DAY LEFT of the OMORI ROUTE.
STORY
If the BOSS RUSH simulation was attempted at least once, the player has the option to interact with BASIL to initiate a special version of the event. From there, the group suggests that BASIL should try out the BOSS RUSH with OMORI as his partner for the entire run. Along with that, KEL secretly tells BOSS to program simulated versions of himself, AUBREY, and HERO into the event. Inspired by KEL's idea, MARI also tells BOSS to program a hologram of herself while keeping it a secret from everyone else other than KEL.
After OMORI and BASIL defeat HUMPHREY in the event, the holograms of the three friends appear as a part of the final opponents for the simulation. While AUBREY and HERO express shock at this sight, KEL tells the two to not worry as these versions aren't as strong as them. MARI then cheers on both OMORI and BASIL as the match begins.
Note that if the player loses against the friends, they can still retry the penultimate match against the hologram friends as many times as they want until finally defeating them. Speaking to any of OMORI's friends upon losing the first time around prompts special dialogue from them. Regardless, defeating the three simulations will advance OMORI and BASIL to the final match of the simulation.

From the fourth turn and onwards, KEL will utilize each one of these skills at a random percentage. These usually depend on the skill he selects for his next move and his current EMOTION state. Each calculation is done independently from the previous ones, so the added percentage is not 100%.

- There exists a draft placeholder image for KEL in the "Enemies" folder of the console version's files. This is the same with the other console-exclusive bosses.
- In the game's data, KEL is referred to as KEL BOSS or simulation kel.
- KEL's battle sprite shows him wielding the BEACH BALL weapon.
- KEL shares the same battle background with AUBREY, HERO, BOSS, SNALEY's first two encounters, and ANGEL.
- KEL has two unused skills in the game's data, titled LIFE JAM and RAMEN. Both skills in particular are used for healing purposes if an ally is either injured or down.
- LIFE JAM: Restores one fallen ally back to 50% of their HEART.
- RAMEN: Heals 1000 HEART to an ally.
- Some of KEL's skills such as his powerful RUN N' GUN and RICOCHET functions the same as his playable character variant. A few new ones such as his RAIN CLOUD skill also functions similar to the actual item itself.
- KEL using RUN N' GUN while inflicted with the HAPPY emotion and COFFEE on the fourth turn may be a nod to the infamous KEL nuke that allows him to deal massive damage by exploiting his massive SPEED stat, though this only applies to the HEADSPACE variant of the character.
