MOLLY is a character and NPC in OMORI. She is the oldest of the three SLIME GIRLS residing within HUMPHREY.

APPEARANCE[]
MOLLYs appearance is derived from that of an octopus. She has tentacles with dark blue undersides and pink suction cups in place of her limbs and bears an extra two that sprout from her head like horns. In her battle sprite, she caresses her cheek with one of the tentacles. She wears a purple dress beneath a white lab coat. Her hair is purple and flows around her as though she is underwater. She has light blue skin and red irises, always appearing with a grin on her face. The top half of her face is shadowed during the boss fight alongside her siblings.
PERSONALITY[]
MOLLY is the devious and cunning oldest SLIME SISTER, appearing somewhat passive aggressive and sometimes flirtatious. She often addresses people as "darling" and has a laugh that sounds like "fufufu."
As a scientist, MOLLY seems to prefer working with metal. She puts dangerous puzzles and traps around her lab to counter her younger sister MARINA's attempts to steal her stuff, which can disturb her HUMPHREYS' work, much to their annoyance. According to HUMPHREY, she loves to play games too much and could probably do much good for the world if she would focus, as she sabotages their experimental data for the fun of it. Unusually, her CONVEYOR-BOTS dislike polite people and are accustomed to people being rude to them, as it reminds them of MOLLY.
MOLLY describes herself as a busy person whose work takes patience and appears skilled. She is actually extraordinarily lazy and prefers computer sciences and technology as her medium due to the minimal amount of movement required to create her experiments. When it appears HUMPHREY is going to eat her and her siblings, instead of planning escape she accepts her fate without a fight, noting she was already tired from the earlier fight. Later when she loses her body and is reduced to just a head, she ends up finding it convenient and wishes she had thought of it sooner, as it's less to drag around with. She is also quite fond of cheesy potato chips, which are stereotypically considered something that lazy people are fond of.
She can deceptively appear gentler than her sisters and at times seems to look out for her easily frustrated younger sister MARINA. After the gang is revealed to lack the money needed for their payment, she says she likes the quiet one (OMORI), and wishes to keep him as a pet, opting to sell KEL for profit. Despite attacking the children, she later apologizes for her earlier behavior and states the sisters tend to get too carried away. Though preferring technological sciences, she doesn't understand some basic codes and blames her laziness on others on occasion.
MOLLY is stated to find enjoyment in everything, including pain, as she smiles elatedly when getting hurt during battle and excitedly states that she is having "so much fun" and had been looking forward to another "hunt."
STORY[]
TWO DAYS LEFT[]
MOLLY is first encounterable on TWO DAYS LEFT after settling matters at the DEEPER WELL and entering HUMPHREY. Her laboratory is located to the right of the main intersection upon entering HUMPHREY. When the party enters, they are immediately threatened by the bomb MOLLY placed for MARINA, being forced to solve puzzles in order to deactivate it.
Many robotic enemies such as WORM-BOTs take residence in her lab. When her main laboratory is accessible, she is found to be in the process of creating ROBOHEART. When ROBOHEART is finished, MOLLY realizes that she is unable to understand what it is saying and immediately decides that it is evil, causing SWEETHEART to run off in irritation. MOLLY's robotic creation can later be located in the hard difficulty puzzle in her laboratory on both routes of the game.
MOLLY later blocks the main group off and demands payment from SWEETHEART. SWEETHEART shoves the bill towards the main party and attempts to escape, getting digesting by HUMPHREY in the process. The SLIME GIRLS are infuriated upon realizing that SWEETHEART had no CLAMS on her and ask OMORI and his friends for the money. When they are unable to pay the bill, they agree to sell KEL, opting to keep the other three for their own individual pleasures. The SLIME GIRLS then initiate a fight.
Once the fight ends, MOLLY admits defeat alongside her siblings and argues with her siblings about whose turn it is to feed HUMPHREY. MEDUSA pins the blame on MOLLY, stating that it was her day. Unable to flee in time, MOLLY comes to terms with her demise and HUMPHREY digests them, remarking that they taste like seafood.
ONE DAY LEFT[]
If the conditions possible for the OMORI ROUTE to occur are followed, HUMPHREY can be accessed upon interacting with MR. JAWSUM. MOLLY, having been reduced to a head, apologizes for her overreaction and asks for a favor from the group. This initiates the MOLLY'S ANALYSIS quest.
If the group decides to assist, they must destroy one WORM-BOT found within MOLLY's lab and give the remains to her so she can create a robotic body for herself.
Although she receives the parts, MOLLY finds more convenience in her current state and gifts the group a pair of HIGH HEELS, stating that she no longer has a need for them. The BOSS RUSH is also available upon entering the leftmost tube at the top area of her laboratory.

MARINA[]
MARINA is MOLLY's younger sister, being the middle child. They seem to have some kind of a love-hate relationship, as they are shown to be able to discuss calmly when they are together. MARINA often steals from MOLLY without any pity, causing her to take extreme measures to prevent her from disrupting her work. MOLLY also asks SWEETHEART to give them their payment in a calm matter in order to calm down MARINA, who is fuming over her refusal to pay them their CLAMS.
MEDUSA[]
MEDUSA is MOLLY's younger sister, being the youngest child. Due to MEDUSA's quiet nature, not much is known about their relationship, though they seem to get along well.

- Unlike her sisters, MOLLY chooses to stay as a head after her body has been eaten by HUMPHREY, concluding that it is more convenient than the metallic body she built during the MOLLY'S ANALYSIS quest.
- In the game's files, MOLLY has her own set of individual battle sprites. According to the RPG Maker MV, they were only meant to be used for the FOE FACTS! journal as implied through the FOR BEASTIARY subsection of the "Enemies" data folder.
- Due to this, only the NEUTRAL battle sprite is used when checking MOLLY's journal entry, thus making the rest of her individual battle sprites technically unused despite being fully completed in the files.
