MUTANTHEART is a character and optional enemy in OMORI. She was created by MARINA as an attempt to create a suitor for SWEETHEART, and can only be fought on ONE DAY LEFT of the OMORI ROUTE.

APPEARANCE[]
An inaccurate recreation of SWEETHEART, MUTANTHEART appears similar to her, but seems to be made entirely of slime, having many deformations. She also wears much plainer clothing than SWEETHEART.
PERSONALITY[]
MUTANTHEART doesn't display much intelligence, only speaking out very simple phrases. Despite this, she can be rather cheerful and peppy when receiving kindness from others, and when she is in a good mood. In her battle, she does not pay attention to the fight itself, rather instead focusing on whether the group has felt the EMOTIONs she requested before.
STORY[]
Realizing SWEETHEART was most attracted to herself, she went to commission the SLIME GIRLS a replica of her. MUTANTHEART was created by MARINA as an attempt, but due to the deformed and unintelligent demeanor, SWEETHEART was disgusted by MUTANTHEART and stormed off.
MUTANTHEART can later be encountered once again on ONE DAY LEFT of the OMORI ROUTE, after helping MARINA collect RAT MEAT to recreate her body. Upon interacting with her, the player is given four options: POKE, PET, FIGHT, or DO NOTHING.
Selecting the third option is the only way to initiate a boss fight with her, as the other options only lead to more dialogue. The party then engages in combat after choosing to fight MUTANTHEART. Upon defeating MUTANTHEART, she is vanquished and the player will earn the Inhuman achievement.

Every turn, each enemy will start by trying to use the skill listed at the top. If the calculation fails, they move on to the second skill and so on, until reaching the final skill which is guaranteed to activate. Each calculation is done independently from the previous ones, so the added percentage is not 100%.
STRATEGY[]
In battle, MUTANTHEART wants the party to feel certain emotions. If a party member doesn't feel the requested emotion the turn after request, they will immediately be KO'd. As such, the fight is more of a puzzle boss rather than an actual one. It's recommended to have lots of toys that inflict emotions on all party members, though this can be costly, as it can result in a lot of CLAMs being wasted.
MUTANTHEART can change the party's emotions as her attacks, which can lead to party members becoming toast after using the aforementioned emotion-changing toys. Due to this, it is a good idea to have HERO use them on the party, as he will typically be slower than MUTANTHEART. If HERO is somehow faster, then the same strategy can be used with AUBREY and the SWEETHEART BUST. The rest of the party should use moves that do not rely on emotions to become stronger, as the main gimmick of the fight will have your party's emotions changing constantly.

- MUTANTHEART's design bears a resemblance to SWEETHEART's unused design from the 2018 Kickstarter demo, as the latter only physically appears disguised for that build. In fact, her outfit upon close inspection is the same one as the unused SWEETHEART design.
- MUTANTHEART shares the same boss theme with BOSS and some of the FARAWAY TOWN enemies.
- MUTANTHEART has three unused skills titled ATTACK, HEAL, and FLAIL ARMS.
- For ATTACK, the description would read "MUTANTHEART sings a song for _____! It was not the best...", inflicting (Attack x 2 - Foe's Defense) damage to one character targeted.
- For HEAL, the description would read "MUTANTHEART fixes her hair", regaining 250 HP.
- For FLAIL ARMS, the description would read "MUTANTHEART flails around", inflicting (Attack x 2 - Foe's Defense) damage to four random targets with a 50% damage variation.
