NEFARIOUS CHIP is an optional mini-boss in OMORI. He will only appear if the player decides to sacrifice the oatmeal cookies on the summoning stove within BREAVEN.

APPEARANCE[]
NEFARIOUS CHIP looks identical to PAPA CHIP, both of them resembling large talking ovens with pink and purple highlights. He also wears the same chef hat and oven mitts as the latter. However, NEFARIOUS CHIP is always seen with an angry expression and possesses a white bushy mustache.
PERSONALITY[]
As indicated by his name, NEFARIOUS CHIP is a dastardly individual who relishes inflicting pain and suffering on those who come across him. He greatly embraces his villainous persona, to the point of laughing like an evil villain in battle. Even PAPA CHIP appears to greatly fear NEFARIOUS CHIP's presence, to the point of desperately trying to persuade the party to avoid fighting him.
STORY[]
In the BREAVEN, if the player decides to touch the big TOAST, the ground will crumble underneath the player's party, giving them access to the crypt guarded by an ACTUAL MOLE.
Within the crypt is a summoning circle, a safe, and a counter of items which can be placed in the circle. Among these items is a plate of OATMEAL COOKIES, which if sacrificed summons NEFARIOUS CHIP, who intends to attack the party.
If his presumed counterpart PAPA CHIP is summoned before him, the former will continuously try to persuade the party to not sacrifice the OATMEAL COOKIES as it will bring an evil force into the realm before turning back in fear.

- NEFARIOUS CHIP is not necessary to defeat, as obtaining the password for the safe can be done even without having to defeat him if the player knows the password. However, he should be defeated if the player wants to complete their FOE FACTS! journal.
- In the game's files, he is sometimes referred as UNCLE CHIP or EVIL CHIP.
- NEFARIOUS CHIP's EVIL COOKIES skill has an unused text that reads: "NEFARIOUS CHIP throws OATMEAL COOKIES at everyone! How evil!"
