PICKING PAINT[1] is a quest in OMORI. It is one of the many optional FARAWAY TOWN sidequests, available starting from the morning segment of THREE DAYS LEFT after buying HERO’S GIFT from HOBBEEZ.
STORY[]
SEAN and KAREN first appears near a wallpaper section at FIX-IT. When interacting with the two, a short cutscene plays out. The couple is trying to pick out a new color for their wallpaper. However, they cannot agree on any opinions due to both being too lovey towards one another.
Upon noticing SUNNY, the couple asks him to choose for them with his eyes closed. The screen darkens as the text box reveals that SUNNY chose a misplaced wallpaper. Regardless, SEAN and KAREN happily accept the new wallpaper and invite SUNNY to come over to their "housewarming party" at their house, which is located two blocks away from AUBREY'S HOUSE.
COOKING HELP[]
COOKING HELP[2] is the following sidequest of PICKING PAINT. If SUNNY has helped SEAN and KAREN before, once AUBREY rejoins the party on ONE DAY LEFT, SUNNY and his friends can head over to SEAN AND KAREN'S HOUSE in the morning. From there, multiple balloons are outside to signal the upcoming party. SEAN is shown looking ready for the party but KAREN asks the group if they could help her cook dinner as she is struggling with coming up with a good meal.
KEL points out that since HERO is a great cook, he can help out with the food. The entire group complies with KAREN's request, even AUBREY, and they all manage to make delicious food for the party. KAREN thanks the group for helping out and the sidequest is completed.
For additional content, returning to the house during the evening will allow SUNNY and his friends to enjoy the housewarming party they helped prepare. From there, SUNNY can interact with his friends and the couple on their opinions regarding the party. Along with that, KIM and VANCE from the HOOLIGANS are shown spending time with their father GRUFF GUY. There is nothing else to do but enjoy the warmth of the party.
REWARD[]
Upon completing the COOKING HELP sidequest, SEAN and KAREN's flower will be earned for the Universally Loved achievement at the hospital.

- SEAN and KAREN's sidequests serve as one series of the various quests required for full completion of the Universally Loved achievement, as their flower is one of the sixteen flowers that has to be shown in the hospital.
- KAREN would not mention she remembers SUNNY if the player did not finish the PICKING PAINT sidequest but entered SEAN and KAREN's house on ONE DAY LEFT through modding. This implies the COOKING HELP sidequest originally could be completed without finishing the previous sidequest.
