A station for PLUTO'S SPACELINE. Do you want to wait here for PLUTO? ![]() |
— PLUTO'S SPACELINE |
PLUTO'S SPACELINE is a recurring transportation system in OMORI. It is unlocked after PLUTO successfully hides from SPACE BOYFRIEND's pirates and decides to become a rogue planet. When using it, OMORI and his friends have to option to travel to various locations in HEADSPACE.
OVERVIEW[]

PLUTO's SPACELINE works like an actual transportation system when utilizing it throughout the game. When approaching near one, a text prompt asks players if they would like to wait for PLUTO to arrive at his station. Choosing yes transitions from a black screen to PLUTO preparing to takeoff with the party in tow.
Once PLUTO blasts off, the screen reveals the rogue planet carrying the party in HEADSPACE's starry skies. PLUTO will then ask the party on where they would like to go as another text box lists the locations where PLUTO can land himself. Note that there are a total of six transport stations that the party can use. Accessing one from a specific location will add the location to the list presented on the upper right textbox.

Upon selecting a location, PLUTO will ask the group if the location chosen is where they would like to go. Telling PLUTO yes prompts him to fly off to the assigned location at full speed.
Afterwards, the screen transitions back to the overworld, where PLUTO does his iconic laugh before flying off and allowing the player to resume control of the party. Choosing not to ride PLUTO'S SPACELINE will take the party back to where they originally accessed a station.
STORY[]
After managing to retrieve the SPECIAL MIXTAPE from ROSA, OMORI and friends begin to head back to SPACE BOYFRIEND'S HOUSE. On their way there, the children find PLUTO trying to evade capture from two of CAPT. SPACEBOY's SPACE PIRATES . PLUTO asks them for help, in which KEL instructs him to hide in one of the nearby craters.
After hiding PLUTO there, OMORI and friends pretend to not be aware of PLUTO's whereabouts when confronted by the SPACE PIRATES. The SPACE PIRATES then leave afterwards. PLUTO comes out of the crater, expresses gratitude towards the children, and reveals his dream of wanting to traverse through the cosmos as a rogue planet. He then decides to form his own transportation system called PLUTO'S SPACELINE and offers the group a ride back to the OTHERWORLD CAMPSITE. The group accepts this offer and they head back to the campsite.
Upon arriving back at the campsite, PLUTO commends KEL, noting that the boy had potential since he held onto the former's leg for a long period of time during the flight. The rogue planet proceeds to teach KEL how to FLEX for boosting his HIT RATE and bids farewell as he leaves to continue sailing across the galaxies. From now on, accessing any nearby transportation station with PLUTO's logo allows the party to take a flight with PLUTO to a specific location within HEADSPACE.

TRIVIA[]
- The area where PLUTO and the party soar through the stars is internally referred to as PLUTO'S RIDE.
- PLUTO's sprite when carrying the party originally lacked animation frames for AUBREY's hair (excluding KEL struggling to hold on), which can be seen in the 2018 Kickstarter demo.
- Attempting to use the transportation system before the PLUTO cutscene reveals that it doesn't seem to be in service. In addition, the logo of PLUTO'S SPACELINE is absent as well.
- Upon close inspection, a small-scaled sprite of the HEADSPACE map can be seen attached to the glass window of the transport station.
