| — SHINY KNIFE |
SHINY KNIFE is a WEAPON in OMORI. It serves as OMORI's starting weapon at the beginning of the game.
STORY[]
The SHINY KNIFE is located somewhere in the WHITE SPACE after OMORI hears something fall while he browses the space. The player must find this KNIFE to progress through the door. The SHINY KNIFE appears randomly around the space.
OBTAINING[]
Once OMORI picks the SHINY KNIFE up, it is automatically equipped to him in the weapon slot. He still has it after returning to HEADSPACE in the PROLOGUE. The SHINY KNIFE is effectively OMORI's only weapon and cannot be swapped out, though after prolonged use it turns into the KNIFE.
In the REAL WORLD, SUNNY can find the SHINY KNIFE before confronting SOMETHING IN THE DARK, and only after defeating SOMETHING IN THE DARK, the SHINY KNIFE will vanish from SUNNY's inventory.

TRIVIA[]
- At the start of the game, the SHINY KNIFE has a total of twelve different spots on where it can spawn within WHITE SPACE. Note that the location of where the SHINY KNIFE spawns is always random.
- In the 2018 Kickstarter demo, the SHINY KNIFE has an ATTACK stat of +6 instead of +5 from the final game. Its flavor text from that build is also identical to the final version of the weapon.
