SWEETHEART'S CASTLE is a location in OMORI. It is the main residence of the pompous SWEETHEART and her loyal SPROUT MOLES, located somewhere within PYREFLY FOREST. It is also connected to the SPROUT MOLE VILLAGE of the aforementioned forest.
GEOGRAPHY[]
SWEETHEART'S CASTLE is a large, pink-colored castle adorned with many aesthetics relating to the ruthless duchess herself. It is filled with riches, servants for her to command, and a stage for her to flaunt her power. According to the KEEPER OF THE CASTLE, the castle came into existence when a poor girl known as SWEETHEART from the desert begged on her knees to make the castle hers.[1][2]
Many of its residents consists of SPROUT MOLE creatures roaming around to keep the castle up and tidy. Along with that, the royal guard that protects the castle consists of HAROLD, THERESE, MARSHA, and LUCIUS. Alongside them are three SIR MAXIMUSES that try to halt the party's progress in the castle.
Each one of the castle's rooms is filled with many decorations all fitting SWEETHEART's aesthetic. The player must complete four of these unique rooms to progress the story. In addition, there are multiple SWEETHEART statues that can be interacted with to view one of SWEETHEART's different poses.
The castle is also where CAPT. SPACEBOY briefly resided when he was dating SWEETHEART in the past, evident by a few remaining decorations of SPACEBOY himself. However, after defeating SWEETHEART, the castle becomes less lively as many SPROUT MOLE servants mention that without SWEETHEART ruling the castle, they are nothing.
STORY[]
After solving the puzzles within THE DUNGEON you will arrive at SWEETHEART'S CASTLE. The castle is made up of various rooms and is mainly populated by tons of SPROUT MOLES. Once OMORI and the party put on their SPROUT MOLE MASKS they'll be able to sneak around the castle without aggravating mobs excluding SIR MAXIMUS, SIR MAXIMUS II and SIR MAXIMUS III. However, running into the guard moles will still start a battle. A large crowd at the front will prevent the party from leaving.
There are four tasks to complete: baking a cake in THE ROYAL KITCHEN, helping CASTELLA replace a statue in THE ROYAL CHAMBERS, helping GUEST LIST MOLE clear out a line in THE ROYAL LIBRARY, and helping VIRTUOSO MOLE train the choir in THE ROYAL BALLROOM. Along the way, you will be challenged by SIR MAXIMUS, SIR MAXIMUS II, and SIR MAXIMUS III. After completing all the tasks, the crowd at the front will dissipate, allowing the party to enter the garden.
The garden is comprised of a center statue, which will ask for a password, and four surrounding hedge mazes. Talking to each of the moles (ALEX THE ESTEEMED, BRIAN THE DISTINGUISHED, HELEN THE CALAMITOUS, and CAROL THE ILLUSTRIOUS) will each reveal one word of the password (Note: all four moles must be spoken to before the password can be correct). After giving the correct password, the statue will allow you back to the CASTLE STAGE, where SWEETHEART decides to marry herself. AUBREY feels that there is someone out there for her, and halts the marriage, taking off her mask in the process. SWEETHEART will then ask HERO to marry her for a second time, and HERO will refuse. Upset, SWEETHEART then attacks the party. After defeating her, CAPT. SPACEBOY will arrive in his ship and proposes to SWEETHEART. SWEETHEART accepts and detonates explosives in the stage, leaving a large hole. Jumping into the hole will take OMORI to the LOST LIBRARY.
After fighting SWEETHEART and progressing to the next day, the party will no longer wear SPROUT MOLE MASKS, and will be chased by any of the guard SPROUT MOLES they encounter. Additionally, the hole leading to THE LOST LIBRARY will be repaired, rendering this area inaccessible.
Upon defeating SWEETHEART and resetting HEADSPACE in the OMORI ROUTE, the repaired hole will have a small unrepaired part that allows the party to access THE LOST LIBRARY again. Additionally, interacting with the wall on the bottom left area of the hall bearing the THE ROYAL LIBRARY allows the group to enter a hallway where the KEEPER OF THE CASTLE resides. Accepting the KEEPER's request causes the castle to reset and become inaccessible, instead being replaced by OMORI'S manifestation of his own true desires, a living room with photos hanging on the wall. Any castle exclusive areas or side-quests relating to the castle or its inhabitants are then forcefully locked and cannot be explored unless the player enters through an old save, starts a new game, or resets their game entirely.
NOTABLE AREAS[]
CASTLE STAGE[]
The CASTLE STAGE is where the SWEETHEART'S QUEST FOR HEARTS show takes place. It is also the first mandatory location in SWEETHEART'S CASTLE that party visits once the group shows a SPROUT MOLE their SHOW TICKETS in SPROUT MOLE VILLAGE.
Upon entering this area, the group will have to find their front seats, located in the top left corner to progress. They can also interact with the SPROUT MOLES before the show starts. Interacting one of the SPROUT MOLES on the bottom right corner will reveal the text "It is not alive". When sitting down on the seats, the party will be introduced to the show only for the power to go out when SNALEY gets electrocuted.
From there, the group must head back to SPROUT MOLE VILLAGE's SPROUTMOLE TOWN 2 to interact with a power connector to plug it back in, restoring power to all areas connected there. Returning to the CASTLE STAGE leads to a SPROUT MOLE with a mustache asking HERO to help her out with the show. HERO will then leave the party temporarily and the group must go back to their front seats to watch the show. This will lead to a cutscene revealing SWEETHEART's terrifying demeanor towards her subjects as well as the party being thrown into THE DUNGEON, when HERO rejects SWEETHEART's proposal of love.
The party later revisits this area to fight SWEETHEART as well as gaining access to LOST LIBRARY after defeating her. On TWO DAYS LEFT, it is revealed that the large hole connecting to LOST LIBRARY is completely plugged up by wooden planks. However, on ONE DAY LEFT, a small hole can be interacted with on the stage, allowing the group to revisit LOST LIBRARY to fight several SOMETHING variants. This can only be done on the OMORI ROUTE.
THE DUNGEON[]
THE DUNGEON is the second mandatory location within SWEETHEART'S CASTLE. This is where the party is taken to after HERO rejects SWEETHEART's proposal to marry her. ROSA will come laugh at the party for falling for her trap and leaves. Despite this, the group can exit by interacting with their cell door to open it.
From there, the party must find an escape route while exploring the place but they must beware of two new enemies (HAROLDS and MARSHAS) roaming around. Both of them can make for dangerous encounters, so the party must be prepared in terms of stats and weaponry to defeat them.
There are several jars that AUBREY can smash if the player tags her as the leader of the group. Most of them can drop TOFU. The player can also find the I letter required for the HANGMAN in a cell located on the bottom right corner of the screen. There is also the SMUGGLER JASH that sells TOFU, JACKS, CHICKEN WING, TASTY SODA, MANGO SMOOTHIE, POETRY BOOK, and LIFE JAM.
After the player pushes some of the heart shaped buttons here, this will eventually lower the spikes to the exit, allowing the group to exit THE DUNGEON and enter SWEETHEART'S CASTLE. As for the hidden BLACK SPACE entrance, the player must interact with the telescope inside of SPACEBOY'S DUNGEON CELL. There is a 1/99 chance that interacting with it will transport the player to CLOUD WALKWAY.
For more information on this area's content, visit the original page.
TORTURE ROOM[]
If the party moves east of the first ladder in the UNDERGROUND DUNGEON, this will take them through what seems to be a wall, reaching a cell with a SPROUT MOLE hole. Entering that hole allows the group to gain access to the TORTURE ROOM. It is an area containing the skeletons of SWEETHEART's many victims that she executed in the past. The most disturbing feature of the room is the four skeletons up ahead, each strapped to a torture machine. All bear an eerie resemblance to OMORI and his friends.
When visiting there the first time, SOMETHING makes a brief appearance in the center of the room before vanishing. From there, the party can encounter four MARSHAS that move slowly. The two watermelons in this area contain LIFE JAM and JAM PACKETS. This is also where the player can obtain OMORI's RED KNIFE weapon by interacting with one of ABBI's tentacles on the bottom left corner. This can only be done on the OMORI ROUTE.
SWEETHEART'S CASTLE ROOMS[]
After escaping THE DUNGEON, the party will find themselves inside of SWEETHEART'S CASTLE. They also equip their SPROUT MOLE MASKS throughout their first visit. The main exit is blocked by multiple SPROUT MOLES, and the only option is to complete four different rooms scattered throughout the castle. Doing so will progress the game. They consist of the ROYAL LIBRARY, ROYAL CHAMBERS, ROYAL KITCHEN, and ROYAL BALLROOM. The player can complete them in any order they like.
Each time the party completes a room (excluding the fourth room depending on the player's choice), an elite guard known as SIR MAXIMUS will attempt to halt their progress, leading to a mini-boss fight. The same happens after completing the second and third rooms, but with SIR MAXIMUS II and SIR MAXIMUS III respectively. Defeating all three SIR MAXIMUSES is necessary to progress. It is until after the party finishes all four rooms in the castle, the SPROUT MOLE crowd will disappear, allowing them to exit the castle.
CENTER HUB[]
The CENTER HUB serves as the main area of SWEETHEART'S CASTLE. When the party enters there, they are briefly caught by some guards but they quickly equip their SPROUT MOLE MASKS to avoid capture. Afterwards, the party is free to explore the different areas of SWEETHEART'S CASTLE while making sure not to bump into SPROUT MOLE enemies to avoid combat.
There are two new enemies introduced in this area, THERESE and LUCIUS. Both enemies are fairly manageable enough to defeat, even without using SKILLS. In addition, a new battle mechanic exclusive to the castle is introduced here: initiative rolls. The enemy party will roll initiative. If it is a low number, your party will increase their stats, if it is a medium number, no advantage is conferred on either party, and if it is a high number, the enemy party will boost their stats.
If the player heads downwards, there is a large crowd of SPROUT MOLES blocking the exit. A little bit above them, you'll find a fountain you can interact with to throw 1 CLAM. Throwing 1 CLAM (excluding the fifth CLAM) into the fountain will cause a PEARL to appear somewhere in the castle. The sparkle will temporarily disappear after throwing the ninth CLAM, and picking a PEARL up will make it reappear. However, the sparkle will permanently disappear after throwing the tenth CLAM. To progress through the entire castle, the party must enter four different hallways: two on both sides of the top floor and two respective ones on the bottom floor.
THE ROYAL CHAMBERS[]
THE ROYAL CHAMBERS is SWEETHEART's bedroom meant for her own privacy. It is accessed by entering the hallway to the left on the top floor via an elevator. There is also a painting of CAPT. SPACEBOY with FRUIT JUICE splashed all over it, and statues of both SWEETHEART and CAPT. SPACEBOY. Completing this room is mandatory to progress.
When entering the room, a SPROUT MOLE known as CASTELLA will ask the group to help her remove the statue of CAPT. SPACEBOY as SWEETHEART no longer needs it anymore. The player must tag AUBREY to finish the job.
Other than that, there are several extra content the player can discover here. One of them involves interacting with the large pink bed, which fully recovers the party's HEART and JUICE. This also grants AUBREY the BODY PILLOW weapon for improved damage. There is also a total of eight watermelons located in this room. The four watermelons on the left contain FRUIT JUICE?, WHOLE PIZZA, FRIES, and POPCORN. The watermelon containing FRUIT JUICE? is hidden behind one of SWEETHEART's flag banners on the top left corner. The four watermelons on the right contain COMBO MEAL, PEACH SODA, ORANGE JUICE, and TASTY SODA.
The table east of the bed contains a PEARL and a poetry book written by SWEETHEART herself. When interacting with the book, it will read "Ah. A day. And a day it was. Such a lovely day". In addition, there is a strawberry cake that smells like rosemary. Interacting with it will warp the party to ROSEMARY ALCOVE, a room reminiscent of VAST FOREST and PYREFLY FOREST. The watermelon up ahead contains some JAM PACKETS.
ELEVATOR[]
The ELEVATOR is located within the hallway to the left on the top floor. Entering it allows the player to ride it all the way to THE ROYAL CHAMBERS.
The background of the wallpaper features SWEETHEART laughing while holding her fan. The player can also encounter a few NPCs inside the elevator, ranging from a total of one to six NPCs total. Interacting with any of these NPCs will prompt them to say "Well, this is awkward." A music machine playing the SPECIAL MIXTAPE can be heard in the background.
Variable 1001 is what causes certain NPCs to appear inside the elevator. It depends on which number the variable is set to, and the NPCs that appear consist of:
- SPROUT MOLE: If the variable is set to 10, 17, 18, or 20. If set to 18, a SPROUT MOLE will appear hanging upside down from the ceiling of the elevator. If set to 20, six SPROUT MOLES will appear instead of one.
- HAROLD, MARSHA, THERESE, and LUCIUS: If the variable is set to 11. All four of them can appear.
- HORSE HEAD and HORSE BUTT: If the variable is set to 12.
- SOUS CHEF MOLE: If the variable is set to 13.
- BUTLER MOLE and MAID MOLE: If the variable is set to 14.
- PINK MOLE: If the variable is set to 15. Both variants using a bowtie or a dress can appear with the same number for the variable.
- FLAMINGO: If the variable is set to 16.
- SPROUT MOLE MIKE: If the variable is set to 21 and it is on THREE DAYS LEFT.
- SWEETHEART: If the variable is set to 22 and it is on THREE DAYS LEFT.
For more information on this area's content, visit the original page's trivia.
SWEETHEART BALCONY[]
The SWEETHEART BALCONY is accessed through a door north of THE ROYAL CHAMBERS. Doing so will bring the party to this area. The bottom area of this map features a large view of clouds covering some parts of the castle's exterior.
The blue-colored watermelon right beside the table contains the TEAPOT weapon for HERO. Obtaining this weapon also teaches HERO the TEA TIME skill, which restores 30% HEART and 20% JUICE for a party member.
THE ROYAL GALLERY[]
THE ROYAL GALLERY is an art gallery featuring a large display of art relating to SWEETHEART herself. It is accessed by entering the top aisle of the hallway to the left on the bottom floor. Many visitors who come to this area often remark on the quality of the exaggerated paintings. Multiple BUTLER and MAID MOLES are shown to greet any visitors who enter the room.
Entering this room is necessary as it contains one of the correct keys for the HANGMAN. There is a statue made out of the crystallized tears of SWEETHEART's enemies along with PRINCESS GHOST located within the center of the art gallery. There are also multiple vases containing differing amounts of CLAMS, and a LARGE FACE containing JAM PACKETS.
Other than that, there are a few optional content in this area. Interacting with the BUTLER and MAID MOLES standing in front of the SWEETHEART statue will prompt them to give out free samples of TOFU to the party. Interacting with the toilet right next to MAESTRO allows the party to obtain some RAMEN, like with the other HEADSPACE areas. Talking to TIFFANY DARLING with HERO tagged as the leader will prompt her to give the party a MANGO SMOOTHIE.
The most notable feature of THE ROYAL GALLERY are the eleven paintings of SWEETHEART, each one referencing a real life painting. Interacting with either side of the painting gallery will reveal the names of each painting. If the player interacts with the middle podium between the toilet and the HANGMAN key, something special will happen. This will lead to the "You have become art" event where the player character selected is shown standing on the podium while an audience cheers for them offscreen.
THE ROYAL LIBRARY[]
THE ROYAL LIBRARY is a large library featuring collections of books that SWEETHEART once read in the past. It is accessed by entering the lower aisle further left of the left hallway on the bottom floor (the entrance pointing north in that aisle). When the player first arrives here, there is a long line of SPROUT MOLES waiting to get their dress code checked by GUEST LIST MOLE. Completing this room is mandatory to progress.
Heading upwards and interacting with GUEST LIST MOLE will prompt him to ask the party to help him gather the non-pink dressed SPROUT MOLES. To do so, the player must tag HERO and interact with all non-pink dressed SPROUT MOLES to finish the job. Upon completion, GUEST LIST MOLE will then order the guards to escort the non-pink SPROUT MOLES to THE DUNGEON.
This will complete the area. A few NPCs such as NEREENE and TEACUP SPIRIT will offer extra dialogue. There are some books that the player can give to DEMI to complete his sidequest but the one needed is the INTERESTING BOOK. It can be obtained on the second floor's right ladder, which is at first blocked by a HAROLD. A POETRY BOOK can be found via a sparkle on the first floor's right ladder.
The BOOK charm can be obtained on the third floor's left ladder, and equipping it will allow the user to gain 50% more EXP in battle. Interacting with the strawberry cake that smells like a beet will warp the party to the CONGA ISLAND, a small room that allows the group to play out a conga line. Eating the cake again takes the party back to THE ROYAL LIBRARY. There is also a PEARL sitting in the middle of the staircase.
THE ROYAL THEATER[]
THE ROYAL THEATER is the castle's local cinema room, accessed by a southwards aisle in the left hallway on the bottom floor. There are multiple rows of seats for guests to sit down and watch one of SWEETHEART's movies. You can interact with two things within this room. SWEETHEART's tea and crumpets can heal up the entire party's HEART and JUICE; while the four seats next to a tea set gives you the opportunity to watch a movie with your party members. There are eleven movies total, and watching all of them is required to obtain the Everyone's a critic achievement. All are shown at a random percentage and completing the achievement can take a long time depending on the player's luck on finding all movies.
When watching a movie, the player doesn't have to watch the entire film once finding a new one, simply press any button to skip it to watch the next one. This method can be repeated multiple times. Other than that, you can buy POPCORN for 80 CLAMS from the POPCORN GIRL nearby. On one of the seats closest to the right, there is a PEARL that can party can obtain. There is also a life-sized SWEETHEART doll appearing on the row in front of the party. Another NPC known as MOLE ON THE RUN appears on the bottom left corner, only if the player has already completed the sorting minigame within THE ROYAL LIBRARY. Interacting with him will simply prompt him to tell the party that he isn't there before vanishing.
THE ROYAL KITCHEN[]
THE ROYAL KITCHEN is an area where SWEETHEART's CHEF MOLES make delicious treats for her to dine on. It is accessed by taking the hallway to the right on the top floor. When entering the room, a SOUS CHEF MOLE will tell the party to follow him into the kitchen. Completing this room is mandatory to progress. It also connects to SERVANT'S QUARTERS, a resting area for the group to heal up or save.
If the party decides follow SOUS CHEF MOLE, this will lead to a short segment where they must help him make a cake by simply following his instructions. However, none of the ingredients shown on the tables matches what he says. Regardless, doing so will yield one of the game's achievements along with SOUS CHEF MOLE passing out after tasting the poorly-made cake (if the player knows the correct directions beforehand, the achievement will not be given). Afterwards, he is replaced by a HEAD CHEF MOLE, who gives out the actual directions to make the cake properly.
Other than that, there are few items the player can acquire. Interacting with the sparkle on the kitchen wall will grant HERO the FRYING PAN weapon, which causes the party's snacks to recover more HEART in battle. The only watermelon found between the ingredients contains the COCONUT weapon meant for KEL. This will also teach KEL the JUICE ME skill.
If the WTF VALUE is greater than or equal to 4, a cockroach named SIMPLE ROACH appears in the top right corner. Interacting with it plays a line of dialogue before it fades away.
SERVANT'S QUARTERS[]
The SERVANT'S QUARTERS is an resting spot for SWEETHEART's loyal SPROUT MOLES when they need to take a break. It is accessed by entering a door in THE ROYAL KITCHEN. It features various rooms, most of them containing BUTLER MOLES and MAID MOLES. MARI and her picnic can be found nearby. The party can also interact with a floating mirror to view their reflection too. Several things can be found in this subarea. The J key for the HANGMAN is found in a cage up north. To obtain the HANGMAN key, the player must use AUBREY's tag ability to get it.
Along with that, the other items the party can obtain are the BOW-TIE charm and a PEARL. Interacting with a strawberry cake that smells like garbage and taking a bite into it will warp the party to a small room titled JUNK ALCOVE. This room is reminiscent of the JUNKYARD. From there, the watermelon up ahead contains JAM PACKETS. There is also additional dialogue from some of the SPROUT MOLE creatures. (See the original page for more info).
THE ROYAL BALLROOM[]
THE ROYAL BALLROOM is the castle's local ballroom. It is accessed by entering the hallway to the right on the bottom floor. The layout mostly features the dance floor with several PINK MOLES dancing with each other. Up ahead leads to a SPROUT MOLE choir singing what appears to be a wedding song. The conductor of the choir VIRTUOSO MOLE is shown struggling to keep them awake for their upcoming performance. Interacting with VIRTUOSO MOLE prompts him to ask the group to help him keep the choir in order when performing their song. Completing this room is mandatory to progress.
The player must tag KEL to complete the objective. This will lead to a short minigame where KEL has to pelt the SPROUT MOLES with multiple tomatoes as they slowly fall asleep. Doing so will complete the room. This can be repeated three times as three practice sessions. When the minigame is finished, the game will calculate SingingLevel (equal to the number of awake SINGING MOLES × 2 + the number of sleepy SINGING MOLES), if the SingingLevel is greater than or equal to 20, the game will grant the As expected from professionals! achievement. From that point on, the party is free to explore the rest of the room.
The watermelons located here contain PEACH SODA and FRIES. There is also a PEARL lying on the table to the left of the SPROUT MOLE choir. Interacting with any of the instruments (tube, drum, trumpet) to the right will play their respective sound effect ("That's the sound a ______ makes"). Up north of the instruments is a strawberry cake that smells like the ocean. Interacting with it and choosing to take a bite will warp the party to OCEAN ALCOVE, a small area reminiscent of DEEP WELL. Like the other alcoves in the castle, the watermelon there contains JAM PACKETS.
Other than that, there is one optional event the player can do. Interact with the lone DANCING MOLE right on the dance floor. Accepting their offer to dance with him will lead to a short scene where the chosen character is shown doing a slow dance with the DANCING MOLE. Afterwards, the party's HEART and JUICE will be fully restored. This event can be done as many times as the player wants.
SWEETHEART'S GARDEN[]
After clearing the four mandatory rooms within the castle, the party is allowed to leave. However, they end up in SWEETHEART's GARDEN once they leave the castle. This area serves as a prelude to the final section of the castle, working more or less like a puzzle. At the center features a large SWEETHEART statue known as the IMPRESSIVE STATUE. The group must first interact with it to start the segment where they have to find out the hidden password to escape. Two new enemies are featured here: HORSE HEAD and HORSE BUTT. Both enemies are easy to defeat as long as the group is prepared to fight them if necessary.
The password is "SWEET JELLY FILLED DONUT", a hearty nod to the nickname CAPT. SPACEBOY gave SWEETHEART. The password cannot be entered until OMORI talks to all guard moles. However, you cannot acquire the password from the SPROUT MOLES in each section of the garden until you talk to the IMPRESSIVE STATUE. If you talk to the STATUE and give an incorrect answer (including "NEVERMIND") the party leader will take damage.
This is also where KEL gains an additional ability to aim his ball in one of the three directions. Tagging KEL as the leader is required to progress in this area by destroying any of the SWEETHEART topiaries blocking their path. The four watermelons here contain a WAFFLE, CHEESE WHEEL, TOMATO, and LEMONADE. The tea set nearby the statue allows the group to have a BREAKTIME, which fully restores their HEART and JUICE.
Interacting with the four SPROUT MOLE guards allows the group to obtain the password, which can later be used to gain access to the FANMAIL GRAVEYARD hidden underneath the IMPRESSIVE STATUE via a trap door which leads to the main underground section in the center left of this area.
The group can also access a SHROOM ALCOVE by interacting with a SUSPICIOUS MUSHROOM located west of the garden's center area. Doing so will transport them into an area resembling one of VAST FOREST's alcoves. Then, J. SHROOM will teach OMORI the "Special Technique" to open YOUNG SHROOM.
When opened, the fungus will give a DANDELION and allows the player to bounce on him. This can be used for other YOUNG SHROOMS in different areas. At the bottom of the map, there is a group of SPROUT MOLES attempting to remove the vines. They will not attack you, and you can look through the vines. There is a 20% chance a special event can play out before ONE DAY LEFT, revealing SOMETHING staring back at the player from a far distance, and this can only be done once.
(For the hidden BLACK SPACE entrance, see GARDEN EDGE down below).
RARE BEAR DUNGEON[]
The RARE BEAR DUNGEON is a dungeon full of trapped RARE BEARS in the southeast maze. Inside the large dungeon cell also contains multiple watermelons that can be opened. The player must consider their choice to open the dungeon cell, as doing so will release the ten RARE BEARS that will come charging straight at the party. This will force the party to fight them one at a time. Defeating them all is quite difficult if the party isn't leveled up enough.
If the party manages to defeat all ten RARE BEARS, this will give them access to JAM PACKETS, two COMBO MEALS, the FOX TAIL charm, and a JACK. Equipping the FOX TAIL causes the user's SPEED to dynamically increase depending on the amount of ENERGY the party has in battle. Other than that, there is a hidden BLACK SPACE entrance in which the player must interact with the loose brick on the right side of the dungeon cell. Doing so will warp OMORI to a subarea of LOST FOREST 1. This can only be done on ONE DAY LEFT of the OMORI ROUTE.
FANMAIL GRAVEYARD[]
FANMAIL GRAVEYARD is a wide hallway featuring many fan mails and presents sent to SWEETHEART by her many adoring fans. It can be accessed by taking the trap door below the IMPRESSIVE STATUE from the garden.
All of them are shown scattered around the area. There is a jar of pickles which can used to fully recover the party's HEART and JUICE. The SMUGGLER JASH nearby sells TOFU, JACKS, CHICKEN WING, TASTY SODA, MANGO SMOOTHIE, POETRY BOOK, and LIFE JAM.
There is also a RARE BEAR between all those presents. Interacting with it will force the party to fight it. Defeating it is necessary to complete CANDLIE's sidequest as the RARE BEAR fought is the teddy bear she's been looking for. Nearby the ladder is a large hole that leads to ROCOCO's ROOM, which is at first blocked by a large bucket of paint. The ladder leading upwards at the end of this hallway will take the player back to the CASTLE STAGE and a boss fight with SWEETHEART herself.
ROCOCO'S ROOM[]
ROCOCO'S ROOM is the room where ROCOCO, one of SWEETHEART's former lovers, resides. It can only be accessed within the FANMAIL GRAVEYARD after the player has defeated SWEETHEART.
When entering this room, the group will first see ROCOCO painting something on his painting canvas. Interacting with him will prompt him to tell the party his backstory of how he met SWEETHEART and the reason he's trapped in this room. Afterwards, ROCOCO will ask the group to commission a piece of art from him as he wants someone to view his masterpieces.
With each art piece ROCOCO completes, the cost of commissions will increase. ROCOCO can create a total of 6 paintings. Commissioning ROCOCO is required to yield the THANK YOU! THANK YOU! and Patron of the Arts achievements.
GARDEN EDGE[]
The GARDEN EDGE is a small room connecting LOOPING FOREST to the garden of SWEETHEART'S CASTLE. It is located behind the vines of SWEETHEART's garden, revealing a part of BLACK SPACE slowly merging into HEADSPACE. Multiple GARDENER MOLES can be seen trying to hack down the vines.
Interacting with the vines in SWEETHEART's garden on ONE DAY LEFT of the OMORI ROUTE has an 10% chance of transporting OMORI into the GARDEN EDGE.
HIDDEN DUNGEON[]
HIDDEN DUNGEON is a secret area where the KEEPER OF THE CASTLE resides. It can be accessed through the southwest wing of the castle, in a passageway hidden by a blank-looking wall. Doing so will bring the party to a long series of hallways. As the party gets closer to the KEEPER OF THE CASTLE, hushed whispers can be heard in the background.
Right outside of its lair, tagging OMORI as the leader and standing on the grate emitting red light for 9 seconds will result in the former being transported to a realm reminiscent of WHITE SPACE, where SOMETHING awaits the player. Interacting with it causes it to disappear, and moving forward returns OMORI to the castle. This realm is referred as HEAVEN in the game's data.
There is an alternative outcome exclusive to the OMORI ROUTE where, instead of going to WHITE SPACE, the player will be sent to RED SPACE instead. There, SUNNY is seen running away, after which OMORI will follow him before returning to the castle. This realm is referred as HELL in the game's data.
There is also a special event that plays out if OMORI decides to accept ownership of the castle from the KEEPER OF THE CASTLE on ONE DAY LEFT after resetting HEADSPACE (See BORING ROOM down below).
BORING ROOM[]
The BORING ROOM can only be accessed from here if OMORI accepts ownership of the castle on the OMORI ROUTE. Doing so will completely erase everything inside of the castle, including ROCOCO, the LOST LIBRARY, and THE DUNGEON, replacing the castle's entrance with a peaceful living room. This will also yield the Welcome Home achievement. The room features various portraits hanging on the wall, the most notable being the portrait of a younger SUNNY and MARI with their parents. A lamp is shown standing beside the chair along with a ceiling fan mounted on the ceiling.
The only thing to do is to sit down on the chair. Doing so will show a peaceful event where OMORI rests himself on the chair. While resting there, some text will pop up mentioning things such as "You can feel birds chirping outside" or "The smell of clean laundry fills the air". Pressing any key will stop the quiet sequence and allows the player to regain control of OMORI. This room is implied to represent SUNNY's thoughts of longing for a life where nothing went wrong.
This room is shown briefly in the CHURCH OF SOMETHING, where OMORI confronts BASIL after entering his SOMETHING before the RED SPACE segment. It also shows up during the segments where SUNNY uncovers the truth behind MARI's death after overcoming SOMETHING.

TRIVIA[]
- If the player uses KEL to interact with a jar of pickles at healing locations such as the UNDERGROUND DUNGEON, this will cause him to refuse eating the pickles. This will also force the player to tag to another character to be able to use these locations.[3][4]
- SWEETHEART'S CASTLE is one of the six locations featured in the official OMORI website's interactive HEADSPACE game. The other areas consist of BASIL'S HOUSE, JUNKYARD, PYREFLY FOREST, LAST RESORT, and MUSTARD SUB.
- In terms of length, SWEETHEART'S CASTLE is considered one of the longest segments in the game, the other being HUMPHREY within DEEPER WELL.
- There are varying chances of AUBREY obtaining a specific item from smashing a vase depends on Common Event 81, which is found in the game's data code:
- Common Event 81: When smashing a vase, AUBREY has a 1/3 chance of finding TOFU within THE DUNGEON. For the other areas, it has a 20% chance for nothing, 2 CLAMS or 10 CLAMS. This also includes a 10% chance for 25 CLAMS, a 29% chance for 30 CLAMS and 1% chance for 250 CLAMS.
- The highest SingingLevel reached during the practices will determine the SINGING MOLES' performance at the wedding.
- If the highest SingingLevel is greater than or equal to 20, a miraculously good version will be played.
- If the highest SingingLevel is less than 20 but greater than or equal to 6, a horrible version will be played.
- If the highest SingingLevel is less than 6, an absolute evil version will be played.
- A new battle mechanic is introduced here: initiative rolls. The enemy party will roll initiative. It will be a low, medium or high number, each result has an 1/3 chance. If it should be a low number, the number will be set to 1 and the SPEED of the enemy party will be decreased to 30%; if it should be a medium number, the number will be randomly determined between 5 and 15 and no advantage is conferred on either party; if it should be a high number, the number will be set to 20 and the SPEED of OMORI's party will be decreased to 30%. The effect on SPEED will only be removed when the battle ends.
- The initiative rolls mechanic appears to be based off of the popular tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons, where your actions can be determined by rolling a 20-sided die (commonly referred to as a d20), where the higher you roll the better you do (1 being a total failure, 20 being a complete success).
- An unused version of the castle's battle theme can be heard from Bo En's Special Mixtape, which was given out to people who donated during the OMORI Stop AAPI Hate livestream.
- The strawberry cake that can be seen throughout the castle bears a resemblance to the one shown in a photo from the FARAWAY TOWN PHOTO ALBUM, taken during BASIL's 12th birthday party.
- The BORING ROOM is featured in a promotional teaser showing 4 DAYS LEFT before the game's release. It also shows up in a painting the ARTIST creates after giving her advice in her house.
- A few of the movies shown in THE ROYAL THEATER seem to portray SWEETHEART's relationship with CAPT. SPACEBOY, notably with the Telenova movie which shows SWEETHEART cheating on him with another man. This moment is later mentioned by SPACE EX-HUSBAND when fighting him in the OMORI ROUTE.[5]
- A faint silhouette of SWEETHEART'S CASTLE can seen in the PYREFLY FOREST intro card.
- SWEETHEART'S CASTLE is one of the three locations that can become permanently inaccessible, only if the player chooses to accept ownership of the castle from the KEEPER OF THE CASTLE. The other locations consists of the LOST FOREST and THE ABYSS.
- In the PYREFLY TO SWEETHEART map, there are two overlapping views of the castle. One of them belongs to a event and it will disappear once OMORI accepts the ownership of the castle. However, the other is made by tilesets and it will always remain there even after the erasure of the castle.
- If the party loses against any of the SPROUT MOLES that form the royal guard, the following text reveals active enemies gaining a specific party member's current EXP and leveling up. This likely serves as a reference to HAROLD, LUCIUS, MARSHA, and THERESE's names being the default names for the actors in a freshly open project in RPG Maker MV.
- HAROLD gains OMORI's EXP, his name being the first default name.
- LUCIUS gains AUBREY's EXP, his name being the second default name.
- MARSHA gains KEL's EXP, her name being the third default name.
- THERESE gains HERO's EXP, his name being the fourth default name.
- If the party was fighting against a troop consisting HORSE HEAD, HORSE BUTT and any SPROUT MOLE guard, whether the text mentioned above should be displayed or not will be determined by the status of the HORSE HEAD instead of the SPROUT MOLE guard. This is due to an oversight that the troop number of the SPROUT MOLE guard should be set to 1 but the HORSE HEAD is set 1 instead.
- Led by the same reason, the troop originally would be defined as "[The guard's name]'s party" when rolling initiative, but from the text used in the gameplay it is always the HORSE HEAD's party.
- The few remaining decorations of CAPT. SPACEBOY located in THE ROYAL CHAMBER implies that this was one of the few areas SWEETHEART and SPACEBOY spent time together before their eventual breakup.
- The paintings shown in THE ROYAL GALLERY are all based on real-life paintings (From left to right):
- "A SUNDAY WITH SWEETHEART": A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte
- "SWEETHEART NIGHT": The Starry Night
- "MONA SWEETHEART": Mona Lisa
- "SCREAMHEART": The Scream
- "THE CREATION OF SWEETHEART": The Creation of Adam
- "SWEETHEARTNICA": Guernica
- "THE BIRTH OF SWEETHEART": The Birth of Venus
- "SWEETHEART WITH THE HEART EARRING": Girl with a Pearl Earring
- "SWEETHEART CROSSING THE DELAWARE": Washington Crossing the Delaware
- "SWEETHEART EATING A BURRITO": Saturn Devouring His Son
- "THE SWING (SWEETTIME)": The Swing (Springtime)
- The battle background for SWEETHEART'S CASTLE is taken from the Bryan Museum in Galveston, Texas.
- After accessing Heaven or Hell in the grate outside the KEEPER OF THE CASTLE, there is a chance that a small glitch will occur where any character standing on a ladder will not show up. (This is most noticeable when in THE ROYAL LIBRARY) This is likely because, when using the SPROUT MOLE MASKS, there are issues with the climbing animations for the party members. This is probably an oversight from the developers themselves.[6]
