VIOLIN is a WEAPON in OMORI, serving as one of the few weapons SUNNY can use in-battle.
OBTAINING[]
This instrument is obtained after interacting with BASIL and MARI's spirit, found in the TOY BOX in the closet from the facsimile of SUNNY'S HOUSE within the CROSSROADS area. Upon obtaining it, the player cannot change SUNNY's weapon as the violin will be his final weapon used in-game.
Note that there are three variations of the VIOLIN that exist in-game:
- The first variant is the smashed violin, found within the fascimille of his house, after unlocking the TOY BOX with the TOY BOX KEY. It grants SUNNY an ATTACK boost of +1.
- The second variant is the broken violin, slowly repairing itself each time SUNNY reminiscences his cherished memories within the MEMORY LANE. It grants him an ATTACK boost of +8.
- The third and final variant is the fully repaired violin. This one is obtained after walking through the last memory where SUNNY receives the violin as a gift from his friends. It grants SUNNY an ATTACK boost of +14. This variant is also used during the boss fight against OMORI.
STORY[]
SUNNY ROUTE[]
Sunny unlocks the toy box and finds his broken violin.
Upon falling unconscious after stopping BASIL's suicide attempt, SUNNY has a dream where he talks to both BASIL and MARI's spirit in a facsimile of FARAWAY TOWN. After conversing with the two, SUNNY recovers his broken violin and some SHEET MUSIC in the toy box and leaves his home. He soon finds himself on a rainy road filled with various streetlights that transport him to cherish the memories he had with MARI and his friends. Each time he remembers a fond moment from six of his memories, SUNNY's violin slowly repairs itself.
After fixing up his violin, SUNNY enters the backstage of a building. He finds visions of AUBREY, KEL, and HERO waiting for him. They encourage him to move forward as life will get better, and even though he did something bad, that doesn't mean he's a bad person. These visions wish him good luck and disappear. SUNNY goes up to a concert stage and plays his violin. However, he breaks down crying as the song he plays reminds him of MARI.

SUNNY soon uses the VIOLIN at full power against OMORI in WHITE SPACE, as the latter attempts to persuade SUNNY into taking his own life. OMORI ends up overwhelming SUNNY at first but the outcome of the fight depends on the two choices the player chooses:
- CONTINUE: SUNNY regains composure and uses his violin one last time to perform the duet recital with MARI. As the two siblings play their music, SUNNY remembers the good times he's spent with MARI and his friends during his youth. OMORI accepts defeat and embraces SUNNY with a hug, vanishing from WHITE SPACE.
- DO NOT CONTINUE: SUNNY and the violin disappear forever as OMORI presumably takes control of SUNNY's mind, leading to his presumed death by jumping off the hospital balcony.

- In the game's files, there exists a complete set of sprites of OMORI playing the VIOLIN. Whether this was a placeholder for SUNNY's sprite when he briefly plays the violin within the BACKSTAGE on the SUNNY ROUTE, is unknown.
